Dane Parker is an Assistant Professor in Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, within the Center for Immunity and Inflammation at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in Newark, New Jersey USA. He earned his PhD in 2005 from Monash University in Melbourne studying bacterial regulation and genomics. His postdoctoral studies at Columbia University examined several bacterial respiratory pathogens and their interaction with the innate immune system in the respiratory tract. He was appointed an assistant professor in 2015 and in 2016 established a laboratory examining host-pathogen interactions. The laboratory moved to Rutgers University in 2018.
